There are plans for implementing npc natives sometime later. So there's that as well :)

you are right about one thing and thats, that they havent explained or even annouced when they will be adding the natives
Good "proper" npcs with good ai are very resource intensive. A robust server architecture is very important for the success of quality npc implementation. This is ***tentatively*** planned in the later stages of the mmo development cycle. I am directly referring to the natives that have been mentioned in the past.
We want npcs that will chop your head off, not loot pinatas just standing around to harvest.
Consider this your announcement and quote me for future reference on the subject.
I rather hope they stop wasting resources on npcs. I like my head to stay on my shoulders and think the PVE is nearly perfect just as it is.
It's nice for a change in a survival game not to have to be bothered with npc attacks. They are always annoying when just starting the game. And then late game they are pointless and barely worth your time. I'd assume just leave them out.
Only thing lacking for me at the moment is that I would like to see healing skills be usable on self or maybe on your horses. Also looking forward to animal carts and hoping for flat pavement.
was working well before patch
not supposed to happen...
MMO is coming and a theoric unlimited player limit...
Side note: MMOs seem to be dumbed down versions of what was or could have been great games. I feel like this game is going to get neglected which sucks becuase its got a really good thing going for it.
