I was going to comment on how cartoony it looks... Not liking it at all... Seems as if it's pandering to a more casual audience but hey, WarCraft III was cartoony and that was quite hardcore and one of the best RTS games ever made.

This would definitely be a wait and see kind of title for me.

Civ 5 had unnecessary detail that obstructed the map and made it hard to get a quick read of the situation.

These bold colors and styalized graphics convey information quickly and effectively. Good choice on their part.

Probably just appealing to as many PC users as possible, wouldnt really make sense to make a game that only 20-30% of steam users can run, personally i dont mind the graphics. and i dont think we need to worry about it being multiplat because it dosnt list controller support. the day we see controller listed in the details then we will know.
