Well that was entertaining
Enjoyable, funny, quite dark once the imaginary therapist in his head turns on him.
I was a bit dissapointed at the end, I wanted more options. The gamer in me wanted to save the guy. No such option.
Then I realised that in real life, we do have other options. I'm taking that as the point of the game, at least that is what I got out of it.

Really well writen.
I enjoyed it.

I loved it too. It's one of those rare games that touch the cold truth of the real world. There is no need for the usual elaborate illusions that help suspend disbelief while you're getting more and more into the game. Rather than exploring a virtual universe, it's about looking at the world inside you.
Personally I felt it was a "Walk a mile in someone else's shoes" kind of thing. That you were never meant to have other choices.

Like in real life at times. So many go through these very destructive paths were they end up feeling like they have no other options. That they feel so bad that they think suicide is the only reasonable choice left for them. It's truly a sad state of mind for anyone to be in.

I feel this game was telling us two things. Warning those that are suffereing through server depression the destructive path they could end up in. That there is always other options to take. Don't be ashamed for reaching out for help.

And just like the person suffering through depression, we have choices too. Instead of ignoring the problem. Maybe we should reach out to the friends and acquaintances that are suffering. Try to get them the help they need. Or simply listen to them and not be judgemental over their problems.

I agree with the two of you. It was a very dark game. It didn't hold anything back. I would recommend this game to anyone to play through.
I've actually made a game similar to this years ago when I was 13 years old. I'm 21 now.

My game though was explicetely about suicide, not depression. It was 30 seconds to 5 minutes long max. You did have the option to walk away.

Totally different game experience than what this offers though.
SPOILERS there is no proof the guy actually jumped off the roof. To me it looked like it was a bit open-ended.

Aye, I made another post around here concerning how the messages the game provides are not actually what we're meant to empathize with.

That is, when the guy is being ridiculously edgy I believe the developer meant to show us what not to be.
