Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Statistiche:
If you own human revolution and missing link, is it possible to upgrade to Directors Cut?
Seeing that you essentially own the full content, but an inferior version. It would be a nice gesture rather than have to essentially purchase the game a second time.

You could potentially get this week's Humble Bundle, which includes Deus Ex Director's Cut. I haven't seen any links or anything that you can purchase to "upgrade" to DC.
What's different in the Directors Cut? (I see the suits have issued you a cheque Vargas. Corporate peasant *cough* ;) )
I don't have the DC ver. but I like it just the way it is the ML is a stand alone and that's fine, I play this along with some other game's with little to no problems.
DC adds a crappy double barrel shotty and a silent sniper rifle which is pretty nice, plus a few remote explosives to your inventory at the beginning. I haven't noticed any other real differences, but, full disclosure, I haven't played the DC all the way through yet. I picked it up on sale a while back as i remembered I liked the game, but am just getting around to playing it now.
Sorry can't help on the upgrade path though. My original version of the game wasn't steam.
Im going to avoid you know. Thanks for feedbacks though.

That's not Director's Cut. Those are 2 separate DLCs[deusex.wikia.com]: Explosive Mission Pack and Tactical Enhancement Pack.
The director's cut isn't an upgrade. It's a crappy port of the Wii-U version.
It features:

Negative points:
- bugs that are not present in the original (anymore)
- lower res textures with too much compression
- in some cases some very bad texture stretching (where a small texture like a floortile is stretched much bigger than the original, making it seem very low resolution) Some textures are placed correctly now, but the normal map is still stretched (in Jensens apartment for example)
- worse quality SSAO; the SSAO is terrible in the directors cut, it makes things look muddy and low-res
- terrible tesselation, black dots appear on tesselated characters, which is not present in the original

Positive:
- Slightly better boss battles, stealth based builds are now in less of a disadvantage, you still have to kill the bosses though.
- The missing link is integrated, which is nice
I have both versions, I deleted the Directors Cut and kept the orginal installed on my hard drive.

For myself, its the directed cut is on mac, and the eddition i have, is just on PC, while i have the windows steam installed on my mac, the games just dont run as smooth IMO and i wanted to play this on my mac, so i wondered if there was a way of upgrading, with out having to re-purchase the game.

You have to purchase.

You've mixed up DC and "The Fall".

Seconded, also the DC stuttered all the time on my PC while the original ran perfectly.
