So, if you look at the copy on the store page of the Gunship pack, you'll see: "Hundreds of exciting missions in con gat hotspots around the world." APPARENTLY, this is because they seem to have used OCR scanning of the back of the box, which you can see here: https://www.mobygames.com/game/335/gunship/cover/group-24336/cover-61785/ SO, they couldn't even be bothered to retype the copy from the back of the box! Geezus. Thanks to my friend Scharmers for the tip on the OCR thing....

Looks like the non-'beta' version has been largely fixed. I had to tweak the DOSBox cycles up to 10000 from 6000, but runs fine otherwise. Only thing I noticed is the initial names on the Roster have all been blanked, which suggests this version is not built from an original install....

Has anyone heard anything?

If this is the same as the GOG version -- which one can assume it is -- this is an older version of Gunship 2000. This version is 469.07, while the final, CD-ROM version is 469.085. The problem is the version here still has copy protection, and is missing some of the documentation providing all the codes needed to play the game.
