What does local co-op imply?
Is that through LAN? Or can two people play on the same machine? Especially if there's controller support, it would be awesome if it were the latter.

Its 2 people on one machine. You need at least 1 controller to start co-op so one player takes a controller and the other the keyboard.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Righteous. Thanks a lot!

Is that split screen or two on a single? And friendly fire?

Single with zoom and of course player 2 can shoot you if he disagrees.

"local" always mean on the same machine.
LAN isn't local... ;)
LAN = Local Area Network LAN =/= Local?

I'M SO CONFUSED! D:

The important part of LAN is "network". As far as Steam is concerned the definitions are thus:

Co-op = cooperative play over a network (LAN and/or Internet)

Local Co-op = cooperative play on the same machine (no network)

This definition of Local Co-op is universal; no-one refers to LAN games as Local Co-op.

I just played local co-op with my little brother, he used my xbox 360 controller and i used mouse n keyboard, we had lots of fun and shot eachothers a lot mistakenly

I must be missing something... how do you play this game co-op? I'm only seeing options for single player.

The tutorial needs to be completed before co-op becomes available in the main menu. It's very quick and easy to get through. Co-op also works with two controllers, if you have a second pad handy!

i do wish friendly fire could be turned off. Fights get a lil more difficult when you each have to make sure that you aren't on the same line

Maybe less damage, instead. Say like 40%.
