It's on the floppy that came extra with the cd-rom. Only special edition ones got one though.

Floppy Steam, I knew it!

OMG, talk about a time warp. Seriously, I remember this game and it wasn't worth $3.49 even back then.
I remember it coming in a pack of free software with one of our first computers around that time.

shareware version?

"shareware" oh how i miss the 90's

Called F2P these days. :P

Anyway, Descent was way ahead of it's time. Saying it wasn't worth $3.49 back when it was released makes you appear like somebody who doesn't know what he's talking about, which is probably the case unless you are trolling.

Yes, one should be drawn and quartered for such talk. :)

I remember that. The shareware was only the first 7 levels though. Went out and bought the full game with my lawn mowing money after beating that big red boss at the end of the shareware version. Oh how simple life was back then.

Imagine if kids had to call a phone number to mail order the rest of their game? God, we were cavemen back then.

Yeah, still glad I got to experience it though, computers were exciting back then, these days they are so common nobody even gives a crap about them anymore...

Lol, I still have my CD copy too. I'm waiting for Descent II to get here; I am way more familiar with that one.

Why are you being suckered to buying this on Steamy s-hit. get it at GOG.com

Or find the files on the Rebirth and other graphic update sites online. Very easy to find.

I bought this game way back when, and I got Rebirth- sorry Steam, no reason for me to buy this game again. Though the idea of a younger generation playing this game makes me happy. They don't make games like this anymore!
