FIX for social club error code 4!
If your game and social club files are in a differend hard drive then try this because it worked for me.
1.) Enter into Start>Run: %systemroot%\syswow64\regedit
2.) Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion
3.) Change the Path in ProgramFilesDir same where your game is located (for example C:\Program files to D:\Program files)
4.) Reinstall social club (not sure if needed)

Please comment if this worked for you!

Thanks a lot.
One more thing - folder name should be exactly "Program files" ! I had default place for ProgramFiles at
"E:\Programs" and got error code 4
But after changing default folder to
"E:\Program files" it began works fine

Thank you!! Worked for me..
Just change the path in "ProgramFilesDir" with where your game is located (example: from "C:\Program files" to "D:\Games") AND reinstall Social Club!

Hello!
I did this steps, and now my error code changed from 4, to 3, does anyone know how to solver error code 3?

Labtreeo: when you open regedit and go to that route
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Make sure you have left clicked ONCE on CurrentVersion folder, then the files will appear on the right side, including the ProgramFilesDir
Labtreeo Apr 22, 2015 @ 9:24am

Karratu Apr 22, 2015 @ 9:39am

I hate software like Social Club, Games for Windows Live, etc... if those fail, you are unable to play a game. 2 weeks since the game release and I still see a lot of people with this issue, this is not our fault, this is Rockstar's fault. They are ruining, wasting our time...

I agree, but it seems they don't care, so we are on our own.
