Been searching far and wide for an answer

Is there any possible way for me to restart a new character? I've had the same one since Early Access, and I simply want to start over. This is the ONLY game I've ever played (that I recall) that does not allow the person who bought the game to restart a new game whenever they want. Can someone help me w/ this? I've attempted to contact the devs, but I get no answer. Thanks.

I'm assuming you already went through the 3 Prestige levels in the game? When you upgrade to the next Prestige level, it resets equipment, abilities and missions, I believe, essentially a reset. If you want a "true" gamesave reset, then hopefully BulkyPix's suggestion still works.
