Is anybody still playing this?

I keep looking every day before and after work to see if anything is going on with the multiplayer faction wars but so for nothing. I'd love to get into DH:MC but I just cannot seem to find anyone online, ever. Am I missing something or did this game just die out before it could get off the ground like so many other mech sims?

We have been under taking a large re-write of the game, having switched game engines and rebuilding from the ground up. During this time we have not embarked on any marketing campaigns, so yes player population is not very active at this time.

Our hope is to move the new version from BETA to the live channel around June. Once we are over that hump we expect to start ramping up efforts to attract new players.

When I'm on I'm usually around a lot. But with my current huge workload and constant promotions I've been getting at work I haven't had time. Once we have a solid build I'll likely be on at least one night a week making videos and tutorials. Which should be right around the time my current assignment is done and I can go back to my normal job.

Alrighty, well thank you for responding devs. I'm looking forward to this, its been too long since we have had a good mech sim that offers the same depth and feel as the MW of old. Good luck.

wow, constant promotions, that sounds like a huge hassle all that extra money and stuff XD hope you can handle it.

Yeah, at my day job even my HR person didn't believe how many job titles I'd moved up in the last year :(
But it means less time for playing games, which sucks but hopefully things are calming down a bit.

They're adding in a Single Player mode currently. IIRC there are a few SP missions in the current version.

Interesting. A Coop Campaign type deal would be priceless. SP campaign is nice though.

I believe somewhere on the forums they mentioned co-op being a real possibility. I really want some co-op play, so it might be wishful thinking on my part.
Not sure why the purchase for yourself wouldn't be working.

So, I did nab the game, but wow, does it not run for crap.

Getting anywhere between 3 and 30 FPS. This game isnt that high power...like wow. Cant even friggin play it...

The devs are pretty aweome but this game has never had much in players ever. If it had a lot of players it would be worth launching but as of right now, nothing to do really.

in fact I just launched and no one on, not one server is active. This game is dead. I've given this long enough to be worth the price I paid for it and I regret it. Sorry devs but you guys failed, I dont think there is a single good mech game out to play right now sadly mechwarrior online is the best you will get in terms of having people to play with, sadly it's a huge pain in the ass grind and not worth my time.

Titanfall 2 is a decent game. I wish the maps were bigger, but its fun.

Next month, its turn based, but Battletech will be coming out. I have high hopes for that game.

I agree there isnt enough mech type games though.

If i had the money i'd personally fun a chromehounds 2, I put so much damn time into that game, and probably 2/3 of it was just theory crafting mechs with friends.
