Dark Horizons: Mechanized Corps

What's this "account" business?
It says when you start the game for the first time that everyone gets 5,000,000 added credits to their account. What do they mean by "account"? Is this some sort of in-game microtransaction thing?

So are the credits we get only usable in DHMC, or are they usuable anywhere else?
Well this is the studios only *current* game, so...no

theyre just there so you can buy a couple of mech designs, but encourages you to play the game more to get more loadouts.

So what are the ways we get more credits? It's just that I'm really suspicious of any game that uses the "Candy Crush" method of keeping people playing, and this kind of sounds like that.
you get credits for playing the game and completing missions. Likening this game to candy crush simply because theres a resource system is silly. Its not even close to being comparable.

Okay, thanks for easing my fears. I was worried that I had made some sort of mistake, and it's nice to know that I haven't.

You're fine, no problem. Skepticism is healthy. Sorry if i came across as rude. The credits system is very similar to how stuff like MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries worked, you can buy weapons and items but if you want all the stuff you have to play. The word 'credits' can be interpreted to literally any word for resources and function the same. It might as well be called 'upgrade points'. It fits the flavor of the universe to be called credits though. However the devs here are alot more generous than most games and gives you enough to get at least two fully spec'd mechs before you run out.
As others have stated, it's just a bit of flavor. The account is your pilots funds to buy and build mechs. AFAIK there are no plans to add or implement any Microtransactions.
