A new patch has been uploaded

We would really appreciate your feedback.

Among other changes this major update introduce:
ORCS - play as a completely new race: the Orcs. These savage raiders are the perfect faction for early game expansion.
HEROES & CHAMPIONS - recruit unique adventurers to lead your armies: from mighty fighters to mystical wizards.
CRAFTING - forge magical artifacts, weapons, and armors. Imbue them with powerful enchantments and grant them to your heroes to bolster their power.
FIRE PLANE - explore a dangerous new world of Fire, with its own features, resources and creatures.
STRATEGIC VIEW - zoom out the map and enter the strategic view. Manage your empire and command your armies on a grander scale.

Complete computer lock-up after pressing 'end turn' on my first battle. This locked everything up, I wasn't even able to use task manager.

had the exact same problems with the previous build a lot, but not only in battle, sometimes even on the worldscreen

edit: the recent update did not change anything. The game freezes every couple of turns (yeah not astronomical loading time) for no reason. My only question, why does no soul say this in their reviews, i can not be the only one this happens to...

i am quite angry because the reviews on steam say something somewhat different to what i have experienced... this is the first game i bought that disapoints me that much. I want my money returned to me...

Also, I tried playing with a medium sized world, and all planes, and by turn 40ish, it takes about a minute or so between turns.

What is your OS, graphics card and CPU? There could be a connection.

Can you let us know if you find the problem and it's fixed, because I don't really want to play again until it is. This sort of crash is scary. :)

This bug was introduced in the latest build, and we've fixed it - it's the random crash stated above.

Managed to get in and setup all the options but the game then doesn't get past the loading screen. It just beachballs or hangs with no progress. I have to force quit it in order to close.

Where are the logs kept and I'll post them?

We are having a random crash on windows that we have to force quit from. We are waiting on the hotfix.

If that's the case, it's not clear. The problem, then, is that my gold isn't increasing from turn to turn, in spite of a positive income (at the time it was about 15.5 gold per turn, unless that was supposed to be 1.55 gold per turn, which indicates a totally different problem on the legibility of the decimal points in numbers).

I just got the game today, unfortunately i tried to do a multiplane map my first time through.... got a ton of 'mini' lock ups whenever it was the computers turn, everything woulld freeze completey until the AI's turn was finished....which could take several minutes by turn 50.

Then I tried just a one plane campaign and it went much smoother besides a few bugs which I'll post later.

I got the game sometime back in earlier build. The earlier builds seems to be more playable longer but since addition of heroes and more content obviosuly new bugs will spring given time this game will shape up to be a nice game. It's not really playable at this time since early Beta.

Well I found one big ol' hummdinger of a whopper of a giant insect inside the code:

Heroes break the save system,

You game will save perfectly fine up until the moment you have a hero, once you have one and save, when you try to reload you will get the following error message:

Null reference exception: Object reference is is not set to an instance of an Object.

I'll give you one guess as to what I think that object is.
If you guessed hero, then your right on the money.
Being unable to use saves that include a (player) hero pretty much is gamebreaking since I bought the game yesterday specifically to be able to use said heroes.
