Announcing Patch 1.1! Adding local splitscreen multiplayer, a new map, and more!
A lot of you have been asking for DLCs for Goat Simulator. However, since we have Steam Workshop support, we'd feel bad charging for DLC when you can just download stuff for free at the workshop. We still want to make new content though, so we found a compromise: we're going to add a completely free content update with patch 1.1, coming June 3rd!

Patch 1.1 for Goat Simulator will be adding a whole new playable map, local splitscreen multiplayer, new achievements, new goats, and more!

Read more about the patch here: http://coffeestainstudios.com/blog/patch-11-will-bring-local-splitscreen-multiplayer-new-map-and-more

As we've announced before, online multiplayer doesn't quite work with Goat Simulator since we can't synchronize the physics we're using across different computers, but local co-op with splitscreen should work!

Too bad we can't have Online Multiplayer, I would of loved to see dozens of goats causing choas with axes on their tongues

local splitscreen multiplayer
Not sure if possible with UDK, but would multimonitor+splitscreen be something achievable? two 1920x1200 monitors add up to a res of 3840x1200, split the UI and render screen right down the middle, poof, each player has their own monitor!

multimonitor would be a great way to play, but even just regular splitscreen on a TV is gonna be interesting for this game. Personally I think this is the kinda game thats more fun drunk on the couch with friends anyway

Sweet! Thank you, Coffee Stain devs. Awesome to konw that we will be getting a new map, goats, ahievements and more! Glad you guys had enough sales of the game to continue supporting the game.

If they add splitscreen coop what you can do is, put the game in window mode and you use a controller of some sort and your friend remotes in to your computer and uses his keyboard and mouse. Also can you add a future for dual monitors.

Will you be adding a Texture quality option?

I know you don't want to promise and not deliver, but can you describe the new map and goats in rough terms? I know if I were a modder it would suck to work for the next month on a two-headed goat, and finally get it onto the workshop, only for y'all to release a professional-grade one for free a week later.

Already excited! More maps is always good, the team did a great job with the default one. Random request, but I'd love to see a seagull goat :P
