LoD means Level of Detail.. how far detailed Objects are being rendered.. but it barely does anything here because it looks as bad as on the Xbone. Objects/Textures still pop in 10-20 feet infront of the player even with LoD maxed out.

The Devs or Wbacon said in the stream LoD is also Draw Distance..even though the game has graphical options LoD barely increases the Draw/View Distance of Textures/Shadows/Objects.. it looks really bad and i don't get how people can find this any good looking.. i mean have you ever looked infront of you in the game? the textures are Blurry :/
Adjusts the amount of detail visible in the enviroment, and the range at which said detail is displayed. Also adjusts the quality of visible details in the distance - as the player approaches the level of detail is improved and objects become more defined. As the LOD setting raised more detail will be displayed at any one time, and the detail that is visible will consistently be of a higher quality.

As i said, it barely increases in DR3. At maxed settings Textures/Shadows/Objects still look atrocious in the distance.
