Reminder that this game won't work on DirectX 9/10 GPU. Your GPU must support DirectX 11. It also won't run on 32-bit systems.

There was a thread in which a guy recommended disabling vsync in NVIDIA panel, but I can't find it now. I need it as a source.

Thank you! Even with GTX980 and i7 4790k I was experiencing lag in tight caves and tunnels. Setting PhysX to GPU only instead of "auto" totally fixed everything for me, the game runs wonderfully smooth now and never crashed one single time within my first 8 hours of playing. At 16 GB RAM I only use 1 GB for virtual memory. In my case it was not neccessary to increase the virtual memory. So good job, I'd never of paid attention to this PhysX setting without your advice!

I do my work on my computer. From 9-17 I'm always online.

What settings do you use? I've seen many people complain about stability with 970 on this forum. I believe that getting the right config for GTX970 and 780 Ti is kind of important at the moment.

I'm curious about your 40 FPS as I've seen German benchmark that shows 60+ FPS on 970.

I couldn't get the game to start for about a month, immediately crashed on startup. Eventually discovered that my ROG rig came with the Virtuwatt app, and when it randomly disabled itself one day I realized it was preventing startup. I've crashed during gameplay maybe 3 times in 80+ hours since I realized it, may be a fix for people who bought pre-built rigs like I did. Can't explain it but that was the issue.
