Gem? or another Flag Waving Yank Game?
I think it looks quite interesting but personally I am always put off by Revolutionary War games as a lot are built on pure blind patriotism. American Historians/Researchers have a very one sided view and will only go the way of making the USA look oppressed and the founding fathers look god-like - Despite the War actually being boiled down to corruption, smuggeling and land grabbing. Please make sure you actually research from other sources rather than inside your own libraries as mentioned above - you will only find watered down, flag wavey patriotism and not the actual truth.

You should play the game, Ditchy. It's really fun.
Can I take it from your reply that the game does in fact display some of the qualities he describes?

I generally find ignorant patriotism extremely obnoxious. This is a game, not an AP US history class. Play the damn thing, it's fun.

Yeah, for the record, play the game. It's not flag waiving, firework lighting MURICAN patriotism. It is a story which takes place in Boston during the revolutionary war, and it's got a killer voice cast which includes Ashly Burch.

Advice to OP, play games for fun, not for politics and real world BS.

Everything in the real world has evil behind it, churches, every nations government, every cntry did bad to native peolpe or other countries to make their contry better, its all bad under the surface, but thats why we play games, to forget all that and enjoy them!

You sound like a UK dude mad that the USA became a super power..... get over it. Some people left your country and made a country that became bigger in every way in no time, deal with it!

BTW steam is also American!!! USA USA MURICA MURICA!! (picture me waving the good ol' murican flag while chanting that)

Im not mad at our young cousins. If anything I admire American patriotism (something the UK is lacking), just not blind fingers in ear patriotism. I like military history, and games that are based on historic events - The USA has a rep to the rest of the world of watering down its very short history and being very one sided, and even though the revolution was classed as a British civil war until July 2nd, it can be frustrating to be put in the category of Good Vs Evil (us) when the war was not based on that. Steam might be american, but it would have fell flat on its bum if the rest of the world hadnt contributed.

Anyway, I forgot i posted this lol. I will try the game.

I love Americans, and would love to visit with the Mrs one day.
