Croakoloco is a pretty good little incremental game that can be enjoyed even if you don't make it your lifestyle. It's fun to seek out all the different varieties of frogs, and using the breeding system to optimize your engine can be quite satisfying. However, while it tries to be a more interactive incremental game compared to its contemporaries, the interaction (hopping around and catching golden flies to power-level frogs and earn lots of money) isn't particularly engaging, meaning that the game can drag a bit, particularly early on. There's also not much to do once you've gotten 100%, unless you really just enjoy playing these games to watch numbers go up. That said, for the price, I still think it's a charming little incremental game, and worth a look if you don't mind the fact that it's a bit of a limited experience.

Very addictive, simple, and fun. Perfect if you think frogs are cute. Love it so far! There seems to be a lot to unlock and I can't wait to see it all!!

Great if you don't think of this as an idler, or even really a clicking game (except at the very beginning for the latter).

While this has extremely minor idler aspects, it's not really an idler. And while it has clicker aspects, it's uncomfortable for that too.

I honestly think this game works best as a *game.* Get a few frogs that generate/burp their own flies, get some frogs that generate flies when you eat a gold fly, and then just play as your baby frogs, level them up, and suddenly this game is extremely playable. I feel like it's been advertised poorly in that sense.

I came expecting a true idler, and it really wasn't. I then thought 'oh I'll click' but the clicking doesn't really scale that much for what you need. This really is a gem in the strategy aspects of building frog bonuses until you get the tank qualities you want - usually some mixture of bonus and frog rarity, frog burps, gold fly value, and gold flies generate regular flies for feeding. Sell the ones with common bonuses, breed the ones with rare bonuses, and this game runs smooth after that.

You can leave it running in the background but not much will happen. I guess I'd say for me personally, this game is just genuinely rewarding as a game, but frustrating as an idler and a clicker game. Imho first and foremost it's a Collector game. The fact is the achievements are around catching golden flies, and discovering frogs and breeding, and not really around clicking and/or idling aspects.

There's some missing QOL features that will really help - right now there's no ability to sort by duplicates and or packs which is drastically needed. Nor is there any way to reverse sort that I can see, such as most rare first or most rare last etc. Checking your frog list and ditching frogs that don't make the cut will become necessary *very* quickly, so having a more sophisticated sorting system will help a TON. Right now I wouldn't want 45 frogs in a tank, lol, because the sorting system sucks too much to make that fun and I can already tell that will be less fun.

But overall I'm enjoying the game now that I've figured out how to play it, and hopefully the devs address the categorisation/s or maybe focus on different keywords first and foremost with it! It's got a cool mechanic and I like it as it is, and the QOL features will just be the icing on the cake.
