CoD 1 & 2 Too Pricey?
Considering how much older the CoD WWll games are, you'd kind of expect them to be a little cheaper. I think 20 bucks is a little too much for this game because even when they go on sale they seem to never go below $10 like most games. I'd like to get this game on sale for 4.99 but it's pretty rare to see older CoD games go on sale that low.

CoD1/UO are far better than any CoD released in the past 10 years, so I think it's worth it.

Two of the best CoD games made. Worth the price or you can wait for a sale.

I've played both CoD 1 and 2 they are definitely great games. Haven't played any other CoD past the 4th installment. I'm just waiting for a sale so I can add the WWll series to my collection.

If you judge a game's pricing purely by their age, then yes, they are overpriced. CoD 1 and 2 haven't fallen in price as rapidly or as low as most games do over the years. That said, they are still to this day two of the best WWII FPS games ever released. I bought the Warchest recently at full price and would do so again in a heartbeat.

I saw the price and and almost crapped myself. I loved this game, but Activision has no soul if they're still charging 20 ****ing bucks. Hell, I think that might be more than what I paid in 2005 at Walmart or Target or whatever giant outletI got it. The MP (the primary point of buying the game) has been dead for eight or nine years. Unbelievable.

***You can wait for Steam sales...or you can go to places like Humble Bundle or CD Key Direct for ridiculous markdowns. I can't vouch for other sites, but those two are legit and I think Humble Bundle donates a fraction to charity. Better than giving it all to a horrible corporation.***

Multiplayer isn't dead.

Can't be more than 100 on a good day, plus or minus a dozen bots. I couldn't find any numbers but even World at War is basically dead except for the zombie mod, and both Modern Warfare games barely get 1200 on an average day. The original Team Fortress is still around too. Doesn't mean it is worth $19.99.

Combined, VCoD and UO have more than enough players for new people to come and have multiple servers to choose from. I'd say that's more alive than dead.

Whether or not you think the best game in the series, and potentially one of the best FPS games to exist is worth $20 or not is up to you. I'd say the warchest is worth it no matter what.

Great games for sure, but 30 bucks is insane for nostalgia. You can beat CoD and United Offensive in 12-15 hours combined. I think I played UO exactly once. Very limited replayability compared to the original.

For a fraction of the price of the warchest you can get Day of Infamy, a very similar WWII-themed online shooter that has the same mechanics, triple the playerbase, anti-cheat protection, and has far better graphics & physics.

Graphics and physics do not concern me, nor does the nostalgia factor. I enjoy the game's multiplayer very much so, and have undoubtedly racked up thousands of hours in it (excluding the Steam version).

I could go back and forth explaining why I think UO is the greatest multiplayer FPS, but there's no real point. Some are going to think it's worth it, some won't, doesn't bother me.

Yes, overpriced, like all of Activision titles.

Greed. It's a shame for such an old game.
