Once I let the game load without touching anything, everything appeared to work fine. I have a couple instances where the textures for the enemies won't load until after I've killed them, and something goes wonky with Roth's model that causes huge flat sections to clip through him for no apparent reason.
Other than that, the game looks great, and I'm glad I'm able to play it this build! :)
I almost put the game aside again because it kept freezing(sound remained, but video stopped) 2-5 minutes in. I was unable to quit, alt-tab, or even access the steam interface(shift-tab). I had to kill the game using the task manager, and was unable to get error messages or crash reports. I tinkered with the graphics settings, and resolutions, neither helped. I did manage to get the crashing to stop by playing in windowed mode, cleared the first 'level' with no issues.
After I killed the big fat boss guy, I choose my new spell, and waited about 3-5 mins for the next level to load. When it did finally load, all the textures, except the bad guys, the falling snow, and the sky were pitch black. I wandered around, basically blind, until the issue fixed itself when I endered the first cave at the bottom of the steps. I assume going into the cave made the world load, or refresh or something.
Aside from those 2 issues, the game was pretty smooth, sometimes I would lag a bit while turning around, but that was minimal, even on medium settings.
Game is good fun, though a bit aqward to figure some stuff out on your own, but amazing for a pre-alpha, good work.
I'll post my feedback in the appropiate area.
