Black Ice mod

I wonder if the black ice mod works on the steam version. just baugt the game true steam.. have it original in the box... but without DLC's sprite packs.. and i wanted it all ! But i need to know if the black ice mod works on a steam version and how is the best approach to install. thx.

Hey,

Black ICE is compatiable with any version of HoI assuming it is 3.062b or newer... Its a very easy install... Just make a clean install of the game, or back up your original files, and then download Black ICE from the following locations.

TFH:

You simply extract the Black ICE files into your main game directory, again that is either here:

For TFH:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\hearts of iron 3\tfh

For FTM:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\hearts of iron 3

Then you launch the mod from blackice.bat I believe...

Closest i got was in the mod itself but verry buggy because of lack of information how to do it correct.. like army's showing (special units) but as a black square... basicly i installed a clean version, maked a vanilla.. (with updates ofcoarse) overwrote evry file of 1 of the vanilla's with the black ice data.. or where its suppose to go.. and i got it to work.. but stable.. thats somting else.. i'm verry disapointed that there is no more intell about this to find on the internet.. at least i dident.. and i searched long time ! Pitty because this mod brings the game far mor to life for what i tested & seen from it.

yeah, and the honnest truth is, wen you ask people how they got it to work.. they act like you are a dumass, you need to search for intell & bla bla... Dude i tried evryting i could.. & the person i'm talking about (i'm not gonna name him), was joking with me.. irritating, wen you know his youtube channel is full of movies with this mod.. verry irritating.

more history, more correct army units, nice pictures (unit pictures) overall better gameplay (IF it works)... or should work..

Never was able to get black ice to work. I have been using Ahoi mod. Working fine :) Having a blast. I am non steam though ;)

im using black ice and i dont recall having to use a .bat file. but i do remeber having to replace a .exe file
