Effect of Editting Unit Stats on MP?
What happens when you enter a MP game having editting the unit stats in your HoI3 files? Does the checksum catch and prevent such shenanigans?

For example I just found out how to edit the unit stats, and I played a game as japan, trying to help Poland out by giving them lightning-quick cavalry (the max speed capped out at just under 2,000,000 kph) and making the german unique unit obscenely slow (also by making the officer requirement 10,000). If I tried to host or join a MP game, would I be able to, and would the units have those changed stats in the MP game?

Also, if I want to restore the stats to default, would I have to uninstall and reinstall the game?

Well... thats more or less why there is something as a checksum. It even detects when you have one space more than before. Only things that dont alter the checksum, are merely graphical or music.

If you want to restore it, the easiest way would be to go to Steam library, rightclick on HoI III -> Properties -> Local Data -> Check Game Files (or something in those lines, dont have Steam on english. Steam then converts everything back to normal without having to download everything new)
