If not, well, can you please either not make it free for owners of this game or give us the game in our inventory instead of directly in our account. I don't like losing control over my account.
And I may not want to have the new version unless you've added some story elements because I don't care for performance or graphics.
No, we are not adding new gameplay or story content with the update.

I'm really glad to see the Resolution Scale feature added, I asked for this a few weeks back :-)
That is the perfect way to do this! I really hope that's what you're going to do!
It's kind of like when you launch some games made in Unity, it prompts you with a launcher to change the overall quality and the resolution before starting the game.
Not even mentioning how original Ethan was working flawlessly at 60fps on1440p.
Just found this on the FAQ (http://www.theastronauts.com/2015/07/faq-about-ethan-carter-unreal-engine-4-playstation-4-and-more/):
"With the way Unreal Engine 4 is constructed, we could finally afford the proper save system. Now, the game saves the current state of the entire world. When you exit the game and then return to it later, well, everything is as it should be."
So I'll be waiting for this patch then. As it is now, it's too frustrating for me to play.
Not sure if I understand the question correctly. When you install that disc version on Steam, it automatically updates. That is a function of Steam. So you always have the latest version.
We chose to add another position to your Steam library exactly because it helps save on space. We could release UE4 as a patch to UE3, and then have a launcher through which you could choose which version to start, but then that single game would take twice as much space, unnecessarily. So we figured it is better if people have a choice of which version to install.
If I understand this correctly, the issue is with potentially unnecessary title appearing in your Steam library. You can simply use “Hide this game from my library” option.
We would love to but as we already stated in the previous posts, the decision hasn't been made yet as we've been busy working on PS4 and PC UE4 releases.

I perfectly know that, but I don't like it. It doesn't stop it from appearing on my account page (not my library). Another reason why it is preferable to wait several years until the game is not supported any more to buy it.
At least other games that chose to create a new entry added new substantial elements instead of just improving graphics or the save system, which is pretty minor considering the first game worked pretty well.
