As far as I know, GOG doesn't support Steamworks games, so that is probably a no.

Sadness!

Well, you got it wrong way around - GOG doesn't support the infrastructure that game developers need to ship more advanced games (i.e. if you have achievements, leaderboards, multiplayer (that's not an issue for Talos, but is for Serious Sam), ship updates frequently...).
:)

Not a lot of newly released games go to GOG actually. Gog is mostly games that where releeased long ago. Hence the tilte. Good Old Games. GOG is in the business of revitalizing and reselling very good games of years past.

What dbgager said.
Also, if GoG supported Steam keys, they would be selling Talos now. But as the situation is now, even if they had the API comparable to Steam, it wouldn't be worth the development time, since their market share is much lower. Shrug.

I guess it wouldn't make sense to just release the core game without all the cloud and other stuff?

It would require maintaining two separate versions, and for just a small fraction of the market.

Another superb attitude from a developer, another game company to avoid.
Cheers!

That's the pricing, not market size. There are not enough people on GOG to justify having a separate build just for them.

Well, that's a pity, the game does look nice. But without a GOG release no buy from me. Cheers and good luck!

Good that other developers think differently about GOG. And I'm glad that they don't sell steam keys. A Steam monopoly wouldn't be good for anyone..

Does not full linux and mac support count for something? That's pretty good for a studio of about 20 developers. I find it more important that they focus on supporting actuall platforms than game stores.

Also, about 90% of your games library here on steam is not on GOG for exactly the same reason as Talos not being there. So Croteam is not exactly the only one with this reasoning. Got nothing against GOG, they are awesome, but I use them mostly for buying older titles

Would you rather prefer a game developer who will avoid the topic or promise things that never actually come true to keep the players content for a few weeks or months until they understand the truth?

*blink*
Would you rather prefer *enter random bad thing here*?
Are you really asking if people would prefer liars? And that we should all be oh so happy that these devs aren't liars?
Well, if that's what they have going for them: Yay for them not being liars! o_0

The glorious indie devs who love Steam will be crying when Steam takes control of the whole market and decide on everything. It's not far off anyway.

Gotta love a company that can force you to downgrade your game if you want to play it, like for GTA San Andreas. That would never happen on GOG.
