Licensing
I have bought this as an avid indie developer, but I cannot for the life of me create 3d models. Could I potentially use models I've created in Fuse, and animated via your site and sell a commercial game I have used the assets in. With it on Steam Greenlight, GOG, and other services.

Awesome piece of software nonetheless, and an absolute life saver. Well worth the price.

I'd be leaving a credit to Maximo in game in the credits obviously.

Plus one suggestion, the zombies with hair look a little weird, so for us trying to develop "the undead" maybe adding something more zombie friendly in the hair department would be good so they're not all bald. Just a suggestion.

Hi comminsar,
Indeed. The purpose of Fuse is just that. It's royalty free content that you can use in your own games/films/anything. We would love to get a shout out your credits, but even that is not necessary.

We are also planning on expanding content across all fronts.

*updating post to avoid future confusion:
We do ask that the content is embedded in whatever project you are working on. You should not directly resell or redistribute the assets. This is to protect both ourselves and in the future when we eventually open user imports (and user sharing/store/whatever form that may take), other contributing artists.
Also I'd like to reiterate that models marked TF2 come under Valve's licence.

*However if you do want to include us in the credits its Mixamo :)

That's awesome then, thank you, this was definitely a bargain, and I'll be throwing a few recommendations out to people I did Games Dev with at college :)

If there would be a thumbs up options, this post would have it. :)

Hi

Every expand cost users money ?

Or the license is by life -aka ZBrush license style-

And how exactly the license works... is by ID number -like Marmoset- or web license -like 3DCoat-

Can i uninstall and reinstall the software/lic in another machine at any time ?

The license is managed by steam, so you can install it like other steam applications - by signing in on a new machine. Steam will limit the number of machines you can run the app on simultaneously, but otherwise you're not restricted.

What about license schema ?
Every upgrade, patch, content is free ?

I prefer to know it before yo buy

Feature upgrades will come as free updates. New content will become available in paid packs and eventually people will be able to add their own content into the app.

So if I create an original character with this program I will have the same ownership rights as if I used pen and paper?

Yes, characters and our whole animation catalog is completely royalty free.

So I'm a tabletop designer who is always looking for good art and having customizable characters I can pose would be HUGE. Is this royalty free over multiple medias? Meaning if I bought and used it to create say zombies or superheroes or whatnot so I could poste them for multiple pieces of game art would that be ok?

Yes, you can use any of the characters and animations anywhere. The only thing you can't do is resell our assets. You can sell your own game or video or whatever that uses our assets.
