I have a question regarding the episodes
Hello there,

I am a big fan of retro-like point'n'click titles. That's why I am interested into this title. However I am not sure I have understood the concept of this series (i hope it is a series).

If i buy this game now, do I get access to upcoming episodes? Or do I have to purchase the next episode again (in which point I might be waiting for a complete package if devs decide to)?

Thanks to anyone that can answer me this, I appreciate your time taken.

~Wayne

Didn't get an answer so far, sadly.

Each episode will need to be purchased separately.

Would have liked to have bought a season pass. Altho I dont think a second episode is a sure thing anyway so maybe its best.

Don't get your hopes up for seeing more episodes. Replay is pretty much a ghost town now that the CEO ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things up for everyone. I know it's a seperate developer, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I asked the developer Paavo Härkönen about upcoming episodes when he was in the Double Fine Game Club[double-fine-game-club.github.io] in January. His reply was "Unfortunately, the sales of the first episode were not as good as we hoped, so things are looking... somewhat uncertain at the moment. It's a matter of funding. But I certainly haven't given up hope yet."

Well...kind of pointless if that is what they say then. :/

I don't think they do themselves any favors by making an episodic game like this either when they cahrge $10 per episode. Most games of this quality should only be $9.99-14.99 TOTAL for ALL EPISODES. Paying $10 per episode for an indie/small studio point and click game is outrageous. You can get TWD full seasons for less than that. Those are $24.99 for the entire 5 episodes and much less on sale. If you get 5 episodes from a game like this is anyone really thinking they would be willing to pay $50? Hell no.

So...pricing alone is a major reason why their sales suck. Episodes should be sold for MUCH less money, or you should buy one and get the rest at a price. Nbody wants to basically "gamble" buying one episode in a series and not know if more are coming, and nobody really wants to pay $10 an episode for an old school point and clik when there hare hundreds of quality story games out now that you can get FULL and COMPLETE for the same price as one episode.

EVERY single adventure game that has come out the last couple years that went with this pricing model has failed. They all end up in bundles and we're all stuck with a ton of "Adventure GAme #132132432: Episode 1" in our library with no new episodes ever coming.

I know this thread is old, but I just want to voice my good-bye to Fester Mudd publicly. A lot has happened since this game came out. To name just a few, Resident Evil got an HD port, Shovel Knight took the world by storm, and Fallout 4 got announced.

Mr. Mudd, your game was a bit over-priced, but you made me laugh. I'm sorry the Indians got you and Lance.

The results of bad promotionals...Wished Steam would help these kind of developers to reach the people who will actually buy them. I've said it and I still think Steam Store SUCKS. I've been notified by new games that I like more often not by Steam the looking in the store..
