Rust Crashing, Access Violation (2016, windows 10)

Been spending hours upon hours of searching for a solution to such an aggravating problem. Finally throwing in the towel after noticing somthing...THERE IS NO ♥♥♥♥ING SOLUTION! EVEN MY FRIENDS CAN'T FIND A SOLUTION (not that i'm bad at finding solutions) So by now you guys are probably about to ♥♥♥ out of anger because you are wondering what the problem actually is...

THIS IS THE PROBLEM

So basically, my Rust crashes everytime I open it. Always right before the title, or right after it loads Items. If I don't recieve a reply in the next 24 hours..Well then RIP Mercifulmoose 1997 -2016

I have the same problem, you need to create a large community to solve this error.

Same here guys, really annoying cause it started happening right before my clan was about to raid someone :( Hope Fully there will be a fix soon

GUYS! I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM (it worked for me)! Unisstal the nvidea Graphics and install again. Hope that i could help! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD RAIDS! ;D

I also found a fix like a week ago, sorry i didnt post guys i forgot to post it on this thread. Anyways, it ends up your mic can mess with your game, i ended up getting a new mic and it works now, something with the drivers and messing with rust.

Heres what i posted to other threads and it helped some people,

"ok so i just plugged in a different mic and messed with the sound settings and it works. So either mess with your sound settings ( witch didnt work with my other mic ) Or plug in different mic. Thats all i got guys. For some reason rust doesnt respond to certain sound options, Its a werid bug but cant really do much about it sorry guys wish i had better news."

Same, Same issue , i like to record rust and play rustopia, so when im kicked my recordings get corrupted recording and i have a 160 play que ( thats 2 hour wait sometimes ) so its a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pain

i use to run rust just fine till they did some update to how things look a few weeks ago, Now i can see though walls, and i get texture glitches.

its not my recording or pc power, i tested this.

I have reinstalled the game and such, this issue still persists. And this issue is not mic related i have a friend who has the mic issue the issues we have are different (but you should fix that mic issue too because he cant talk in game without lag), my issue is not related ive tried a few mics and not even using one and this issue has happen, as well as i dont speak in game.

Had the same issue...
Normal and Direct x 12 got crash me out, changed in NVIDIA options that rust will run from NVIDIA still crashed on different servers, even tried with windowed mode...
Then Tried Direct X9, and it worked...

Also it might be that I entered C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rust
Right clicked RustClient.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility-> Run this program as an administrator.

A bit lagy on minimal graphics, I pressed ALT + Enter to go into full screen and land under my feet disappeared and I walk above the water...

I had the same issue. Kinda fixed it with compatibility mode WIN7 and start it out of the Rust folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rust and Rust.exe. The only problem left is that i cant close it in a normal way. I have to use Task-Manager.

i've problem with RUST too, when i start the game, after the download of "easy anti cheat" i've this error message : "oops. The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2017-04-09_224808" nest to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!"

I have never managed to launch the game.
