Hitstun in 1v1?

This is a small feature I suggest adding for new players.
You know how in many 2D fighting games, there's always hitstun when an attack connects?
Maybe this can be implemented in 1v1 gamemodes, for players to get used to.
Or even the story mode, where the entire game pauses for a moment with every attack (I don't really think this one is a good idea, though).

This will make players know when the move actually connects during the animation, so learning how each move works will be more easy.

All I see from this is the pros at this game going full Ryu from Street Fighter. The stunlocking would be NUTS. Good idea for casual or beginner difficultys, though!

Have you tried out the lowest difficulty setting? Did it feel too challenging for you? Or do you play on higher difficulty levels?

Sorry to say, but I haven't gotten the game yet.
I'm still watching it develop through the alpha stages, and now in beta. I just want to suggest a few more changes to add before the final releases; that's all.

By the way, I have one more small suggestion to add:
Is it possible to have a camera mode similar to Super Punch Out?
From what it seems, perspective is a little difficult to observe due to the orbit-third-person nature of the game.
Maybe a translucent player will help make incoming attacks more noticable, with the tradeoff being lesser peripheral vision.

Maybe as an unlockable but I don't think we intend to do many changes to the default camera before release
