PHYSX PROBLEM SOLVED!!! [Official since 2013 posting]
Ok, there are 2 ways to fix the installation when it tells you to it can't install the physx (this is usually from people who have the hard copy of the game, i think the steam handles this part ok) What to do is go to control panel and uninstall your existing physx, then install the physx from the disk.

Problem with that, though, is now you have an older version of physx. The second and better way to fix the physx is through NVIDIA itself http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver.html This link will take you to the legacy driver, which will help games released around 2007 to work.

Enjoy :D

If this doesn't work, get the steam version, if that doesn't work, sorry you are missing out.

UPDATE: 9/14/13 If the link is not working on your end, type into google two words: PHYSX LEGACY

For all those people who likes to play their old games, this is a great contribution. I thought I would have to uninstall the game until I read it.
Seriously, thank you.

will this replace my existing driver?
Costco Hotdog Sep 14, 2013 @ 12:18pm
^ Look.. I get the idea that the game needs an older Physics driver to work... but I don't want to replace my more modern driver.

Will the legacy driver replace my modern driver?

Or did I buy this game for nothing?

(I have the steam version of the game, and it says PhysX needs to be installed)

No, don't worry about it replacing modern drivers, it will not. It's hard for me to explain, it's like it is building off of your modern driver to allow the old games to work without actually having to uninstall your driver and fish around for an old one.

Before I heard of the legacy driver, I actually had to go to control panel and completely remove my modern physx so I could install the old one from airborne. The legacy driver lets you keep your modern driver and physx.
Thanks a lot man!
