un punto en contra que tengo con el juego es que a partir del nivel del Battle Glacier se vuelve un juego muy injusto pero al final un juego recomendadisimo

edit: empece a jugar con Milla, ahora entiendo su nicho y esta rotisima, recomiendo usarla cuando te des vuelta 2 veces el juego y entiendas las mecanicas como para predecir los moviemientos de los jefes

A pretty fun Sonic-like platformer, featuring some really impressive spritework that holds up even today, and a fully-voiced story with the earnest charm of a Saturday morning cartoon.

I enjoyed my time with Freedom Planet, though there were a couple poorly-designed sections, and the difficulty curve was brutal. Granted, this isn't my genre of choice, so I'm fairly unskilled, but even on the "Normal" difficulty, the difficulty was pretty brutal in the latter half of the game. There were a couple late-game bosses where I felt like I beat them by getting lucky instead of by getting better.

That being said, when Freedon Planet is good, it's really good. The spritework is exceptional, and all the character are vibrantly expressive. Levels are usually easy to read, there were only a couple scenarios where I struggled to separate background and foreground. The level design is dense and intricate, and it feels great to get into a flow and maintain momentum throughout a full section.

The story is fun, but nothing particularly memorable. It keeps a mostly-lighthearted vibe throughout, and the characters each get their moments to shine. I did quite like the blend of sci-fi and Chinese aesthetic, it lent itself to a lot of very fun character design and impressive stage themes.

Freedom Planet is a good bit of fun, even now a decade after release. The difficulty is maybe a bit too high for people who aren't proficient with speedy platformers, but an abundance of checkpoints means that there's no frustrating loss of progress on death or game over. I'd recommend this game to any Sonic fans, or 2d platformer fans in general.
