Do you need C&C: Tiberium Wars to play Kane's Wrath?

I know this may seem like a silly question, but I've noticed I'm able to play Kane's Wrath perfectly fine without having Tiberium Wars installed. So does Kane's Wrath have all of the neccesary files from Tiberium Wars, meaning that you only need KW? Or do you need to have both TW and KW purchased on your account for KW to work? (I bought both TW and KW, but only KW installed.)

yes I HAVE 2 GAME.
TW - NOT INSTALLED
KW - INSTALLED
and all work ok!
difference is only in compaign.

Difference? I didn't notice anyting different, aside from my save dissapering... (which ticked me off quite a bit >.>)

Obviously you need to have the bost games installed to play the expansion set.

I guess the question I'm asking is, does TW need to be registered to your accout for KW to function?

it doesnot need TW installed to play but at EA request you do need to OWN TW to buy KW in the first place
