There is not really a minimum or maximum weight/size.
There are no restrictions/requirements in that matter. Just make sure the ship matches the requirements stated above.

It doesn't matter if you have 1 hangar for 4 ships or 2 hangars with each 2 ships. You just need space for 4 ships. The space required for 1 ship is 20x15x10 small blocks
Think they mean it just needs to be build from Large Hull blocks.
What does "Ship must be capable of long journeys across the galaxy" mean, exactly? Large amount of cargo space, or what?
Also, can the modules/compartments be combined in some cases? For example, if I put my assemblers/refinerys in the same room as the reactor, is that okay? Or the med bay in the bridge/crew quarters area?
