wing daemon 5 stars

i'm very close to being 100% done the game, but i can't seem to get 5 stars on the wing daemon battle. he never spawns enough minions. I don't get hit once during the whole fight and i try to wait for him to make more minions when he's near dead but he always dies while i only have 4 stars. help? advice?
