Logitech Momo Force
Hello all,
I've got my Logitech Momo Force hooked up to AC and even though it's almost a piece of history it got recognised immediately by AC (kudos for that :-))

There are 2 issues i'm having that I hope you can help me out with:
1) The FFB is very light, there is almost no feedback at all. kurbs, hitting the wall, handbrake turns at 250 km/h don't seem to have any effect. FFB is working fine in the setup menu. Any ideas here are welcome
2) Turning the wheel just a little bit causes the car to 'dramatically' overdo the steering move causing a 2° change to become a 45° change in game. Again all setup idea's are welcome.

The MOMO is a 240 degree wheel rather than the default value of 900. Change to 240 and it will respond more as expected.

in tab "main controls" ingame, is there 240 too?
Also try setup your wheel using configuration wizard in game

Definitely time to change your wheels, that thing you have there is prehistoric creature. I still have mine, but I don't use it anymore; got it only to see if I would become serious with racing. Go get something better, like the T500RS and I am sure you will cry with tears of joy. Or at the very least, at least the Logitech driving force or G25/27.

Don't get rid of the Momo though. Such a beautiful old relic belongs in either a museum, or a display case. It's a venerable old piece of gaming antiquity and deserves better than to end up in the trash.

Hi!
Mine MoMo works nicely. Remember use Logitech Gaming Profile Software when playing with this wheel. And yes 240 degrees but from other than some games, not inverted. And if you have been driving real cars, the steering ain't usually "heavy". Powersteering in abarth, all BMW's etc. Just ask for exact values from game. I'll tell you if needed.

no power steering in the M3 E30 actually, so not ALL bmws :) that car has the heaviest steering of any car in the sim

That's true. Most of older sports car didn't have powersteering. And they were very great to drive because of that. New sports car have electric powersteering that adjust itself recarding speed and some cars have different modes for chassis and steering etc. :)

Whether or not you need power steering depends on the car IMO. With an M3, you really need it. It's pretty light and you don't really have to manhandle it much.

On the other hand, I have a Chrysler Charger E49, it doesn't have power steering either-and in it's case that's kind of a problem. The E49 is the most tiring car I've ever owned, it's a monster-big, heavy, powerful, and kind of unruly even on modern rubber. I'm actually tempted to fit hydraulic power steering myself just to make it more drivable.

It mainly depends on engine position. If car has engine in the rear, powersteering is not needed. But if engine is in the front, there is so much weight on front wheels so it is not quite good mainly in lower speeds.

Well it really depends on a few things, but for sure weight distribution is one factor.

i also have momo racing ff wheel and it works great in this game. just check out the config which is posted in the ac-forum. in logitech profiler set 107%ff and all other options to 0%.

powersteering is in cars cause of easier parking and driving at low speeds. no one needs powersteering at highway etc. racecars have them also in need for pitstops and slower corners cause of the massive grip of slicktires.
Arya 2/dez./2013 às 4:36
It could be my build, but I'd challenge anyone who thinks a race car can get away with no power steering to go for a spin in my Charger. With wide racing slicks and that much weight, steering it isn't easy, at any speed.

lol even until mid 60´s early 70´s even TRUCKS had no powersteering. only as option or you buyed the toptruck of the company :) so powersteering is at most a comfortoption like electric windowopener, electric mirrorsetup, electric windroof....today it comes serial...ok not if you buy a zsatava yugo :)
