What is being done to keep the game clean? Nothing?

Server admins can update track and car data to ensure all are using the same physics and track surface in their servers.

RSR has some anticheat stuff built in and ban people caught cheating, beyond that not much point doing more about it.

If you cheat you achieve nothing as nobody else cares if you win or lose and if you need to cheat to win it doesnt even mean anything to yourself. You have proven to yourself you cant win against others fairly so you lost the moment you decided to cheat.

Online = cheat. Will never ever change and devs can do a tiny bit against it. Main problem is they have to prove someone cheated. Go race at dedicated racesim sites like racedepartment or race2play. No cheating overthere, only serious racing.

I thought you weren't interested in sim racing anymore, Ottis?

Or were you just pissed that the PCARS devs wouldn't add your 300+ cars to the game?

Basically, only losers will cheat...

We might even see another at this weekend's Grand Prix.

Being a server admin makes you exempt from scrutiny then.

The server still needs the same data as all users, so if admin wants to cheat and modify these there wont be anyone to race unless they have the same changes. Kind of defies the point of mp and also cheating if you will win no matter what as youd be the only one in the server. :)

This is not true.

That is true. That's how the game prevents cheating or outdated mods, unless it has the same data, it will not let you join the server.

Being a server admin makes it possible to cheat without being detected by anyone. How convenient.

No, because people won't be able to join unless they have the exact files that the admin has, therefore they would be cheating to...

Alternatively, you can just join a league or go play iRacing.

I don't want to go into details, but the notion that admins need server-side hacks to cheat is wrong.

No it isn't.

Do you actually read what people post, or do you just disagree with them out of spite?

Sure is, but I'm not going to post evidence here.
