If the TX is not one of the officially supported wheels you must go through the setup wizard !
I am a Rifter and have swapped between 3 different wheel setups, never had a problem such as yours.
Good luck...
EDIT : Check your usb ports.
Not much help, just trying...
...typical User error. Somehow I had to assign everything again and had overlooked it, since up until then everything worked.
I used the configurator beforehand to get it all started... but after that I had to assign everything, which I overlooked.. wheel, pedals, shifting, everything. Now it works and after 8 laps in Brands Hatch I want to puke, but it was incredible!
@Talke Toaster
For real? I know these problems from my flightsims. Thanks. Good to know.
There are also some apps that can be used to prevent it with VR such as Real Head Motion, which I hear is pretty good. http://magicfr.changeip.net/RealHeadMotion/RealHeadMotion.php
I plan to drive every day until I get used to. How long did it take for all of you until you could stand it?
Doing barrel rolls in DCS may, as in real life give a sense of vertigo but that also sorted itself out quick enough.
There is no hard rule concerning "motion sickness", two of my real life friends suffer more than I even though one has been Rifting since day one.
HINT : "Turning into the bend" may help, both in flight & racing sims.
Sorry, but I still have to gush over VR. It is sooo awesome. And my car handling improves so much, too. Watched the replay on my monitor and I drove really precise. This is a total game changer. The feeling when you look around in your "real" car or being stuck behind another car and overtaking... the thrill. OH MY GOD!
I just hope Assetto Corsa gets more F1 Mods, maybe with complete fields? Luckily rfactor 2 has VR now and a very good 1975 F1 Mod.
if motion sickness is a problem i suggest ginger, as in root ginger. ppl laugh when i say it but honestly it really works.

as for turning graphics options down, a lot of people turn post processing off altogether cos its such a resource ♥♥♥♥♥ and then spend those resources elsewere (super sampling mostly, which is done by editing a .ini file in your documents) but that all depends on your rig and your preferences of what you prefer the image to look like.
and if you are still going 'oooooo' 'aaaaaa' over vr i would recommend taking either the lotus type 49 or the ktm x-box round nords, much wooow. or there is a special event with 2 la ferraris and 2 mclaren p1s, seeing that blue flame jumping out the back of that p1 while you hand on for dear life is a bit special n all.
Great suggestions! I think I will try the KTM - that thing never did much vor me in my monitor setup, but now I guess it will be different.
Woohooo.
@fiese Fee
:))))
PS: I need glasses an get cheap new ones that I can wear with the Rift, so I don't know..can you read the menus? I don't know how to set up the car when I really don't see any numbers anywher. Do yu guys your setup outside of VR and put the Rift only afterwards on?
as i said when you are sat in your car and able to drive you need to move your mouse pointer over to the right and find the 'render stats' app and leave it open where you can see it while you drive. just keep an eye on the FPS it should stay rock steady at 90/89.99fps if it doesnt your graphics are set too high.
about glasses, the oculus dk2 came with an extra pair of lenses for ppl that require glasses. i dont know but maybe your cv1 did too? if not they will have a solution (like being able to wind the face plate out to make room for your glasses)
as for setting the car up, you do that when sat in your car but before you drive, just under the steering wheel you click to start driving there is a spanner, set your car up in there
