1.8.0.0 version of the game is released as Beta branch. To test this version go to game properties BETAS tab and select Beta test branch. Download is ~4.4 GB.
This branch isn't compatible with 1.0.7 version in network game.
You need to start new 1.8 server if you want to play multiplayer. Profile is same for both versions so you can switch versions any time you like. But maybe it would not be wrong to make a backup of the profile. Profile is located here: Documents\gamepires\gasguzzlersextreme

Please report any bugs, performance improvements and slow downs to this topic.
Before posting graphics erros, make sure you have latest graphics drivers.
Also please report full computer specs and OS.

I found a bug in the screen scalling, i use 1920x1080 (16:9) and the screen is a bit down, then i choose another resolution and selected 1920x1080 again, then applyed, and now the screen got right, but if i close and start the game, the screen gets down again and when i try to edit presets on multiplayer, the game crashes. I'm using Windows 10 and playing the 64 bit version of the game. The singleplayer and the multiplayer server are working fine. =)

I've downloaded the beta but the game won't load when I go to launch it. I've verify the game files but it's still not working.

Try to delete config in My documents folder: Documents\gamepires\gasguzzlersextreme/GasGuzzlers.xml
Game will generate default one. What os you are running? Computer specs?

This happened to me as well. The game starts running and after a few moments stops.

I tried everything suggested in previous similar situations, but nothing worked. I've deleted the game and I'm redownloading it.

I have lastest stable GPU driver, there is beta available, but I usualy don't install that.

When I first ran each exe (32bit,64bit and servers), antivirus (avast) scanned the file. I guess because it detected a change in the exe file, but as it didn't find anything I thought no more about it. Now I'm thinking I should've tried disabling it before trying to run the game. Guess I'll try that after reinstalling, if it still won't work.

Tried deleting the config file but it made no difference, No black screen, No error. Steam just says its running then shuts the game down all in few seconds

I just completed redownloading of the game and it continues with the same problem. Even with antivirus turned off.
