Observe and learn where the enemy is likely to go. Every map has its hot spots. Every map has bottlenecks that the enemy needs to go through. Every map has positions that appeal to the enemy.
For instance, there are certain positions that gunners love to use. You will love to arty those, because you will be killing gunners. And then the gunner won't be killing your guys.

Also: As the plane bomb is a great let down maybe you should be able to call in a gotha bomber at level 100 for the central powers and the entente a handley page bomber which drops like 8 bombs in a row or so.
