"When will you add the Mondragon Rifle?"
Guys, would you stop asking for the effing Mondragon Mexican pewpew OMGthefirstsemiautoservice rifle. -Nobody- in the front lines used them. -Barely- anybody that actually participated in WW1 even saw them.

I think they were issued to, like, a few German Air Force guys and Wikipedia says maybe their Navy after the war. But that's it!

So unless we're gonna be including a squad type called 'Downed Pilots', quit asking for it :u

So the MP-18 shouldn't be in the game either because it didn't see widespread service? There's quite a few weapons in this game that were rarely used or saw combat, or there were small numbers of them... I don't really know anything about this rifle and I don't care if it gets into the game or not, but there's a flaw with your logic.

There's a difference between an issued weapon and a field tested one that failed.

I said I knew nothing about the rifle, so I didn't know that it was only field tested. I misunderstood what the OP was saying, as I skipped the part where he said "-Nobody- on the frontlines used them." I was more focused on the second part of his response.

But the second part of my argument was talking about the people in WW1 that did use it-- whom were people that are also not shown in the game.

Which is why your comparison is flawed.

MP-18i while small production between 5 and 10 thousand is still larger than the Mondragon rifle which Germany bought around 3,600. MP-18is saw a lot of service with the Stosstruppen in 1918. Mondragon rifle saw field trials only. It was found to jam and be rather bad in the trenches, numbers seen would be in the 10s and not the 1,000s.

All the weapons in game had a good chunk avaliable for the infantry.

So with that out of the way, now the dev can focus on adding the M1917 / Colt New Service revolver for the US :P

What about we add dirt to through in the enemy's eyes?
And flaming bags of poo?

So why did you chime in at all?

MP18 was the main weapon for german stormtroops which became fairly common later in the war.
Roughly 5,000 Mp18s were used in combat during the 1st World War. Not a common weapon at all. Compare this to say, the RSC 1917 (considered "unusual") of which 86,000 were produced.

MP-18 was only used by Stosstruppen, never been able to get an estimate of their strength 1918.
