bayonet
devs should make you be able to hold down V for a charged bayonet attack so it looks cool when running over no man's land.....I know it would add absolutely nothing to the game except immersion but maybe the devs could figure out what it could be used for other than that, idk just a random idea I thought of hahaha

apart from that though, i do think they should work on the animation for bayoneting someone because it looks kinda weird, it just looks like people die randomly in front of another person because the movement is so subtle

Verdun isn't BF1. The amount of work it would take isn't worth it

it would make sense if it would power up your melee attack,but bayonets are already 1 hit kills and buttstocks are supposed to be 2 hit kills for balance,otherwise there would be no reason to go for a rifle with bayonet if you could just charge with your cabine.

well, i never said it was bf1, people just automatically think that because it's about a bayonet i'm suggesting that they should make it like battlefield 1....

yeah but they could probably just change some stats or something, not sure how long that would take though, but this was only a random idea, they can take or leave oh don't really mind tbh, but what I think should change is the animation for bayoneting :)

You said Bayonet charge WHICH is one of the more iconic features from BF1. Also if I jumped to conclusion is because since BF1 has come out ideas like this that are in BF1 keep getting asked to be implemented and it gets irritating

You said Bayonet charge WHICH is one of the more iconic features from BF1. Also if I jumped to conclusion is because since BF1 has come out ideas like this that are in BF1 keep getting asked to be implemented and it gets irritating
ah sorry, didnt realise others were asking for it, but I wasn't intending it to be like bf1 at all, it's just that in ww1 bayonet charges were an actual thing and I was basing my point off that, not BF1 (sorry)

Luna, what if I told you that bayonet charges (as in hold melee button and sprint, then release to make a stab) don't exist uniquely in BF1? That feature exists in RO1/RO2/RS and is implemented rather nicely.
I do realize that this game is neither BF1 nor RO2, but it's not nice to shoot down a feature that would fit Verdun simply because "IT'S BF1!11" and no other points against it are raised.

A charged melee attack wouldn't be a bad thing for bashes, but bayonets already attack pretty quickly so adding a bayonet charge ability is pointless.

yeah i guess, but i'm more focused now on the fact that the animation needs some love, necause it's almost unnoticable when someone actually bayonets someone else, it just looks like the other person randomly dies in front of them :\
