Custom Hero Names

Not sure if anyone has brought this up lately (I don't see it on the first few pages of this forum), but it's easy to make your own pool of Hero/Heroine names.

Go to the directory where Rogue Legacy is installed
Open up Content
Edit HeroNames and HeroineNames

Files look something like:

// Change this file if you want to add or remove names
// from the hero name list in the game.
// Names longer than 8 characters will be truncated.
// Special characters cannot be supported.
Jimmy
Skunky
Charles
Lancelot

Have fun, and don't be afraid of the !

Indeed, I haven't bothered messing with it (I'm terrible with names) but I noticed how easy it was.

Bit of warning: never input less than 3 names per gender. The game can't select the same name twice for a single generation, so if it can't find enough names, the game will crash.

I just used names from Adventure Time, hoping that will convince the kids to let me play a little longer.

What happens if you have multiple instances of the same name on the list? Like having James on the male list 5 times in a row. Does the game treat them all as seperate, thus possibly resulting in Sir Jimmy XIV having Sir Jimmy II as his heir? Or does the game read it as the same name, but x times more likely to trigger?

Haven't tried that yet.

Depends on the if devs read this file then store it as a list or a set.
