Why are you still playing CS:S?
Hey,

I don't want to start a flamewar or something I really just want to hear the reason why you are still playing CS:S because I never played it again since the release of CS:GO. In my opinion CS:GO improved nearly everything. I loved playing CS:S but I love playing CS:GO even more.
I don't get how there are still more people playing CS:S than CS:GO. So please tell me your reason. ;)

my reason: Zombie Mod

My reason: zombie escape, and minigames.

I didn't play FFA, since some month, i'm bored by it.
You can play both also in CS:GO. The only problem is that there not enough servers which such maps are running on. But if there were more players there also would be more servers...
But yeah thats an good reason.
Sry for asking but zombie mod? I just tried it once and it was very unbalanced and therefore not fun at all. Have I just choosen the wrong server?
Yes I think you just choosen the wrong server because 90% of them are unbalanced. I think one of the main reasons why people keep playing CS:S are the mods. And yes you can play these mods in CS:GO too but they aren't as good as in CS:S. CS:GO is good for FFA but otherwise not in my opinion.

sorry for my bad english :/
Well let me explain.
Im cheap.
Need I say more?
I still play source simply because the game play is more fun than GO. GO improved some stuff, don't get me wrong, but the fact is there is as much broken with GO as source, just in differing areas. I can't deny that GO's hitboxes are a little more consistent than source, though not perfect.

Warning: the following is an opinion, if you read it as fact, side effects could include, but are not limited to, butthurt.

The game play in GO feels detached and numb. The only way I've found to describe how it feels to me, is that it's like running around on ice. I don't feel like I'm taking 3 steps to the right, I feel like I'm sliding around on the floor. From the little I've played (in comparison to the ridiculous amount of time spent in source) GO, all I can say is I'm far from impressed. It seems as though valve took all the complaints about source and created a game completely opposite to source. Guns that were considered overpowered in source, are now completely useless in GO and vice versa.

Source's game play stays fun for me simply because it feels sharp. It feels like I am in control of every movement, as apposed to the numbness experienced when playing GO. I've been playing source for 8 years, and 1.6 for a short time before that. I will always find entertainment in the franchise, even GO, despite my disappointment.

SUMMARY for the TL;DR crowd:
Source game play = sharp and fun with a great community
GO game play = Numb and Nerfed weapons... AKA Running on Ice with Squirt Guns.

And why does it seem like a huge portion of the A-holes from source now play GO... Nothing but ♥♥♥♥ talking and trolls. But I must say, please keep it this way, source doesn't miss you.

It's weird cause thought I saw on metacritic that CS:S got a higher score than CS:GO by a few points not a big leap though :P their both good games anyway.
CS:Go sucks
I uninstalled CSS looks too loony cartoony for my tastes... cs:go definitely has the more realistic look
Zombie Escape on PlagueFest FTW!!
I play CS:S still because I have CS:GO on my Xbox 360
