Gun Monkeys

Gun Monkeys

Visa statistik:
GPU gets really hot playing this even on low settings.
I think it's the main menu only, but when I start it up and it goes there, the temp goes to like 90C on my GPU...thats not good. :c

Could you give more info other than "my gpu"?

It is a bit hard to give advice or help with an overly vauge discription of your issues
Prezombie 22 jan, 2014 @ 5:29
In process explorer, Gun_Monkeys.exe has a GPU usage of >90% all the time. Nothing changes this, even lowering all graphic settings to minimal.

I've got an ATI 6870, and Nothing I've played comes close to burning 90% of the GPU usage constantly. The only thing that comes close would be cryptocoin mining.

same problem here

cpu = Q9550
gpu = nvidia 285 gtx
ram = 4 gig corsair

win 7 = up to date
gpu driver = 334.89 // but same problem with other/older drivers

gpu idle temp = 42°- 45°
ingame temp = 85°- 90°

ingame gpu options = it doesn´t matter whether low or ultra

this applies also with v - sync

My Nvidia GTX 560 TI goes to like 90 degrees C while running, even in a menu. Limiting frame rate doesn't help.
Cammy 27 feb, 2014 @ 4:22
Can we have a answer?
andersonm 3 mar, 2014 @ 13:33
I am guessing it tries to max out frame rate
I agree with andersonm, that could be the problem. Try enabling vsync or limiting the frame rate (you can do it with bandicam for example), and see if it still gets too hot.
Limiting framerate doesn't help :c

Same problem here with a Radeon 7870 2gb.. In my opinion that temp is a joke =/ it never gets so hot with other better games

I suppose that or the Devs know about it and just ignoring cause they dnt know how to fix it, or they are trying to fix it now.
i have this problem too, when i play many other bigger and graphically demanding games my gpu temp is 35-40C but when i play GM it goes to 75-80!!
EDIT: Checked again after playing 10 minutes, temp raise even more.

Yeah, the same problem. At first thought it looks like a small game, but sys requirements on practice like in Battlefield :D
Karl Pilkington 17 jul, 2014 @ 15:29
this is downright idiotic, DANGEROUS, even.. how can you even remotely justify this happening devs?

devs seem strangely SILENT on this. They are also strangely silent on the seizure inducing full pulsating screen bug that they have made no effort to WARN users about.

i also noticed how "Kouen Hasuki" never did follow up on his request for more info back in JANUARY.
because the excuse of "It is a bit hard to give advice or help with an overly vauge discription of your issues" is no longer valid as plenty of people have given specific info.
