Why did Frictional Games outsource their game?

I am curious about why Frictional Games would outsource a game when they have developed the Penumbra series and Amnesia: TDD. They did a perfectly good job on their own and this saddens me that they did not create a machine for pigs on their own once again. I really hope that they are not becoming a publisher that only publishes the games rather than developing it themselves.

They never had intention to create another Amnesia game, and being a Chinese Room big fan they asked them to make something out of it. They followed every step of the production and have been very happy of what they did. Every thing else are just speculations of haters who can't stand that Frictiona Games were ok of how A Machine For Pigs is.

Interesting. I did not know that. Possibly this is not well known among the others who hate on this game.
