That being said... TCR admitted they made the game less scary intentionally because they wanted people to finish the game... That's something even I can't defend (and I loved my experience with this game)
Penumbra has that delicious sense of dread where even the pause menu creeps you out
Lol you didnt even beat the game.
I'm going to against the grain and say that this is good news. I played the first game. it was creepy as ♥♥♥♥, but as once I discovered that there's no consequence to getting killed by a monster, the game lost it's edge. if the second game is the same as the first in that there is no consequence in getting killed, then it's a good thing that it has a stronger story.
