its funny when you slam the door. its like i dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about you monsters come and get me
Shutting them any other time just results in the guys opening it again when they walk by. Doesn't hinder them at all. And in real life if a patrolling dude walks by a door that was once open, and sees it closed, he's gonna know someone walked into the room behind it (though in a majorly stealth game that would be sweet, having enemies that consciously aware would have me shutting random doors just so they would check it out and let me run by).
what do you mean? you are in a room and making noise, if you close the door, the monsters won't hear your noise?
but what about that huge slam, won't they hear it?
Yep, i think so, there are some settings about the doors.
DoorOpenInstantLoudness=0.6
DoorOpenPartialLoudness=0.4
DoorCloseLoudness=0.3
DoorEnterLockerLoudness=0.2
DoorExitLockerLoudness=0.2
DoorRunThroughLoudness=1.0
You could try to increase them alot and try them out, see if a monster hears you.

they thought of these noise levels thoguh opening a door instantly is 0.6 and slamming the door is 0.3
that's just some bull.
I really hope there is a patch for this, which allows us to close the door slowly with low noise levels or shut it instantly & loudly.
