Game wont start.
Title says it all. When I run the game, my mouse cursor shows me it's loading something for like a second, than it goes back to normal and literally nothing happens.Tried reinstalling, verifying cach and reinstalling the redists that came with the game. Rebooting and restarting Steam also didn't help. The regular version ran fine, I upgraded to the directors cut and now this :(

I'm running Win 8.1, might that be the issue?

Win8.1 isn't the "issue" .. I also run "win8.1" .. and the game works perfectly.

I had this issue consistantly and just stumbled on a fix that worked for me. If you've got an integrated graphics card in addition to a normal one, disable the integrated graphics card on the device manager.:deathstroke:

I have the same problem except I don't have integrated graphics. I have a GTX 760 and an i7 4-cored processor. Only half my memory is full. I just bought the game. BTW greetings from the future.

All I had to do was disable the Steam Overlay In-Game and it ran perfectly fine, and I have an Integrated Graphics card
