Graves and Skulls
Can someone help me understand what's going on with all the graves everywhere?

1. Why are there singular unmarked graves neatly spaced throughout Mexico? Not very odd in itself, granted.
2. Why do I have the option to dig each of them up? The only thought I can think of is maybe to rob the graves. Ok, makes sense I guess, lets do that.
3. When I do dig them up, why aren't any of my followers upset? Seems like a good time for the pious folks amongst my companions to clear their throats and interject something involving finger-wagging and shamefulness.
4. Why do I invariably get a description of what the corpse's skull looks like, and that's it? Am I charting skull shapes and sizes throughout Mesoamerica for some kind of human geography report I'm secretly working on for the King of Spain? What happened to the grave robbing part? Was my motivation all along just to examine their skull? Am I psychotic?? Maybe I ate too much of Uncle Miguel's frog paella.

I absolutely love this game. But this issue has really got me scratching my skull. Am I missing something?

If you find all of them, something special will appear somewhere in Mexico.

I see. Well thanks for the reply :)

Great game, please make more like it.

Sorry for bumping this, but I'd like more info on the graves, like number of graves, or at least where to look for whatever happens when you find all of them. I'm currently exploring the unexplored parts of the map, but I'm pretty sure I found all of them, yet I can't find aything "special" anywhere.

On top of a small hill toward the east, if you reach the swamps you've gone too far

Well I'm either blind or haven't found all the graves because I just spent like an hour looking in the general direction you pointed out and didn't find anything.
I did find a "Spanish camp?" I've never found before, which is interesting, but I doubt it was that.

I've collected about 5 skulls (at least every visible grave on the map) and have similar problem... what now. Can't find 'small hill toward the east'

If I recall correctly, there are 13 graves to find.

Does anyone have a location of the 13 graves in Mexico? I've only found seven, and as far as I can tell I have the map fully explored.

Holy late post, Batman.

Seven is the correct number, I'm not sure where 13 came from. It's one grave for every member of the in-office development team ;)

Other than that, I think enough clues have been dropped already, I don't want to give it away completely!

I realise this is an act of necromancy, but I've found the seven graves and dug them all up ... except that's also the point I am stuck on this easter egg. Based on the above post, there's supposedly something happening on a hill to the east ... but which hill?

There's no marker on the map after digging up all seven graves (including one that lowers morale across the entire party) and the text above "if you reach the swamps, you've gone too far" seems to hint it's just somewhere off to the west of where the swamp turns into jungle - i.e., in the northern area of the map, as there's no swamp in the south. I've scoured that area up and down, working my way to basically the center of the map, without finding that hill. I don't even know what I am looking for. Is there a quest marker that I have to trigger? Is it an event that kicks in by walking over a certain spot? Is there an interactive object that I need to 'pick up' to start it?

Basically, I'd like to find out the end of it, but find it quite confusing how to do so.

Edit: I did find a single stone column at the very top of a small mountain, just north of the ruined Spanish camp. It has a watering hole at the base of the southern flank. But that doesn't do anything, I can't click it and nothing triggers when I walk up to the column either. It's peculiair enough as it's one of a kind; is this where the easter egg is supposed to finish? It's only a static object for me.

Once you've collected all skulls, IIRC, it's in this area: http://imgur.com/ESB3878

Thanks! I just loaded up my final save and wandered about the area for a bit. Eventually I spotted the mountain with the stone column at the top again - and lo and behold, it suddenly had a quest marker floating over it that wasn't there before. Interacting with it finished up the easter egg :).

No clue why the marker was missing previously, but at least it was there now. As an aside, one of the 7 opponents carried the same name as the soldier on my team, Juan Ortega. I'm guessing that should actually have been the name of one of the developers? The others seemed to carry the proper names, as far as I could tell.

Juan was both a potential party member, but also one of the people you fight in the easter egg.

Sweet, I finally found it!

Here it is for anyone else who was going crazy looking for this thing.
