My feeling's say one thing, but Armstrongs AOE attack and fast moves tell me it's bed time.
Yah I have been trying to time the blocks. Today I got him down to 150 but failed the stuff he tossed at me. One step closer lol. The thing with the block though is that it kinda feels like it only works when it wants to, it's weird, unless I havn't really mastered it yet. Plus when trying to dodge his AOE attack I'm useualy in the middle of an attack so when I go to try to run my character is still in half animation.
You can tap blade-mode to cancel out of nearly any animation, or just use the dodge move which cancels nearly every move as well (exception being Stormbringer, which is a horrible move). Blocking simply requires practice and a bit of insight in how the camera might sometimes suddenly twirl.
Good luck!
When he starts throwing stuff at you, try moving Raiden's body a bit. You can get a much better angle on the cut that way.
ps. hes a ♥♥♥♥♥ boss and really killed the flow of the game for me
How the hell did you get past Monsoon without knowing how to block perfectly ?
I will try that! Thanks!
Thanks for the detales :) I will follow this as well. and yes he really killed the flow. The fight befor him, his giant robot, was pretty hard but it wasnt THIS punishing.
That was NOT an easy fight for me too. It was the first real part I had to learn how to go from blocking sometimes to blocking many times. Let's just say that that was another part that took me a little time on, but I didn't overshoot that fight with my total play time. It was hard but I beat him eventualy
I never had a chance to fight him after the rock toss yet so I don't know if avoiding the rocks would be a good idea. I NEED that health knowing me lol. but I shall see where it goes!
No idea why, but i couldnt get through the rock phase for the life of me, i eventually just tried zerging him down as fast as possible just to get some practice in on the rock phase. Remember to parry his normal melee swings and run from his red/grab attacks (You can parry some of his grab attacks but its inconsistent and unreliable). If you're having trouble with the rock phase you don't have to line up the 4 point EXACTLY, it can work just below the line aswell. Try to trigger as many QTE's as possible, this will be your main source of damage.
Keep at it, felt so good when i killed that guy after struggling for 3 hours.
