Apparently they abandoned us - even if they are online, or were online hours ago, nobody posted here for days, if not weeks or months. Strange way to support your game - let customers to stew in their own juice. Like I said somewhere nearby, I'd prefer "All Quiet on the Western Front" kind of message regularly (just to know they are alive and not abandoned this project, after all) than lack of any messages we have now. Current informational vacuum is irritating, at least. And in light of certain events, I find it... either hilarious or hypocritical, not sure which one is dominant, could be a bit of both.
Seeing this, I'll be very reluctant to spend my money or time on Nival's next project, be that Blitzkrieg 3 or Silent Storm 2.
I think someone said Nival going to do something non earlier that January, but there was no specific info. Stange, I think - developers should know what they are doing and this project is hardly a secret to withhold information about it. Apparently they are following 2K with their distribution model of Xcom - wide spreading, instead of concentrating on developing one version. Why it took so long to get release on iOS, is a way beyond my comprehension.
You can try and write them. Maybe you'll get lucky and you'll get their reply - I got nothing. Not even "mailer daemon" (that could mean mailer Ordo Malleus are on guard:)) notification.
So I think it's very "interesting" way to promote your product - Segal has time to repost apparently positive comments in PW:D in his Twitter (most recent was just yesterday), yet he has no desire to come here and talk to us? According to Gamasutra, he wrote a book on marketing. I wonder how he suggests to work with community there, and how closely he follows own advice.
Oh, well, it's just pointless, voice in the wilderness...
