I'm attempting to use x360ce, but the game doesn't pick it up. Sigh....I don't want to use xpadder for this.
Blackgenma Feb 19, 2014 @ 8:06pm
speaking of x360ce, you place the files in the same folder as the EXE files, correct? I wonder why its not picking it up then.

Same problem here, no luck :(

Depending on which version of Xinput a game uses, you may need to rename xinput1_3.dll into xinput9_1_0.dll and it should work properly.
steba Feb 19, 2014 @ 10:24pm
Got it to work, but you don't need to rename the dll, that doesn't help. When you have the x360ce etc. in the folder where game exe is, download this file here http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce_lib64_r848_VS2010.zip&can=2&q=
Then from there copy all the files, except the text files if you don't want to, to inside the folder where game exe and x360ce are, replacing any already existing files. Then run the game and that's it

Sorry to say this updated x360ce doesn't work and just crashes strider soon as you hit play, i always use X360ce but strider never picks it up but thanks for the try anyway.

Ditto x360ce with my PS2 controller (using that blue triangular two player one) doesn't work either. The lib32 lights up green with my controller while in the GUI and recognizes it. But the lib64 lights up red and doesn't recognize it. I did SOMETHING to make the lib64 recognize my controller, but as the previous poster said, it crashes Strider.

Mine worked just fine.... no problem at all. Using a logitech gamepad
Dean Demon Feb 19, 2014 @ 11:06pm
I'm using a logitech rumble 2 but it just doesn't touch it, the only game in my collection that it doesn't work on but that's fine as the keyboard option is fine.

Ok I got it to work! I followed stebsis guide to a T and it worked. (I talked to him in chat but I'll just repost what he said)

I'm just gonna type it out in a "For Dummies" format for accuracy sake.

This is what I used :
https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce_lib32_r848_VS2010.zip&can=2&q=

https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce_lib64_r848_VS2010.zip&can=2&q=

https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip&can=2&q=

1. Now you need to use another game folder (one that configs automatically and works instantly, I used Metal Gear Rising)

2. Drop the x360ce.exe, and the lib32 contents (minus the readmes). Do what you need to do to get controller 1 to light up green. Now drag and drop all those files to the Strider folder.

3. Run the x360ce.exe once more, hit save and close.

4. Drag and drop lib64's files into the Strider folder, and overwrite. (do people with 32bit comps need to do this?)

5. DO NOT RUN x360ce.exe

6. DO NOT RUN x360ce.exe

7. Run Strider. Voila

Could use more people to clarify this.

TL:DR
Don't run x360ce once you overwrite with the lib64 files. So far all that's happening is the client crashes upon hitting Exit Game.

A 32bit OS cannot execute 64bit code, so, no. Strider will not even run on a 32bit OS as it's a 64bit game.

This seems to be the most common mistake people do when using x360ce. You only use the program to actually setup the binds; the DLL does the rest. Having it run in the background only causes problems.

To clarify for people: You need to use the 32bit DLL to configure x360ce, but then replace the 32bit DLL with the 64bit DLL for it to work with 64bit applications, like Strider.

I personally don't have any issues aside from it complaining my config doesn't match the version when starting the game, but I'm using a slightly older version of x360ce with the newer DLL.
